Photography exhibition
Sorrento, Villa Fiorentino
From the 21th of January 2012 till the 4th of March 2012
This initiative, organized by Sorrento's Town hall and the Sorrento Foundation, gathers historical and artistics finds linked to the most important porotagonists of Neapolitan music, kindly supplied by the Historical archives of Neapolitan music and from private collections. The exhibition will take place in collaboration with Radio Rai and with the Naples Rai production center, which has supplied the sets. Along the exhibition route on display will also be an interesting collection of musical instruments donated by Enrico Salierno to the association of Sorrento's Inlaid Woodworkers, along with memorabilia associated to the Antonino De Lizza family, author of the famous tarantella. A number of Halls have been dedicated to the celebrated song "Torna a Surriento", to Sergio Bruni, Salve D'Esposito, Saltovar, Antonino De Lizza and Enrico Salierno, all connected by their passion for Sorrento and music. Moreover it shall be possible , via the use of a Jukebox , to listen to hits such as "Torna a Surriento", "Anima e Core", and the unforgettable songs by Sergio Bruni.
This event will be open to the public untill the 4th March, from Monday to Friday, from 10:00 to 13:00 and from 16:00 to 19:00, whilst on Saturday and Sunday the opening times will be prolonged untill 20:00. Free entrance.
