Massa Lubrense, Bay of Ieranto

The Fai, Italian Enviromental Fund, has organized from May through to October, a series of events discovering the Bay of Ieranto.
Special walking tours will be organized, departing at 09:30 am from the square of Nerano, small village of Massa Lubrense. The itinerary includes a visit to the Montalto Tower, the farmhouse, the old Mill followed by a walk through the olive grove which leads to the former quarry and mining complex. During the trip, the Fai guides, helped by the educators of the Protected Marine Area of "Punta Campanella" will explain the history and natural features of the Bay.
The days activities will then continue by sea with an exploration of the coasts and coves of the bay in a canoe, preceded by a brief training session for beginners and a guided sea watching session, basically the observation of the sea bed with mask and flippers aided by the Marine Reserve educators in search of the Lush Posidonia Oceanica on the seabed and underwater cliffs.
The tours will take place on 20th and 27th May, 3rd, 10th, 17th and 24th June, 1st, 4th, 8th, 11th, 15th, 18th, 22nd, 24th and 29th July, 29th August, 2nd, 5th, 9th, 12th, 16th, 23rd and 30th September, 7th and 14th October.
