The Sorrento Coast boast an ancient tradition of seafaring and shipbuilding.
Since 700, shipwrights, owners and experienced seamen have made this region at the center of excellence in the field of marine business, holding competition with the best European fleets. This is also thanks to the establishment in 1770 of a nautical school which contributed to the training of officers who are technically prepared for ocean navigation.
