Holiday Themes 
Located in the historic center, in an eighteenth century building, the museum offers, in its frescoed halls and ceilings lined with hand-painted wallpaper, a selected and rich collection of furniture and objects made by the masters of Sorrento inlaid woodwork of the nineteenth century. The display highlights technical and decorative aspects of the individual local schools and workshops. The exhibition of paintings by Italian and foreign artists, of prints and contemporary photographs, also helps recreate the image of Sorrento and the nineteenth-century historical and environmental context in which the inlaid woodwork production began. Developments in manufacturing techniques, the documentation of materials used, the study of the decorative themes and design details that enhance the design of inlay products, provide inspiration for much more that could be said.
