Ten hotels from the Sorrento Coast have been rewarded by Tui-Thomson

Tui-thomson, one of the worlds leading international tour operators has assigned awards to ten accommodation establishments which have distinguished themselves for their  hospitality. The Grand hotel Nastro Azzurro has been added to the Best Thomson Couples, whilst the Best Western La Solara received an award for the Best Thomson Platinum category. Amongst the best "a la carte" facilities rewards were assigned to the Ambasciatori, the Grand hotel Riviera and the Favorita. Lastly, in the Thomson 4T category, rewards were assigned to Hotel Plaza, Minerva, Alpha, Aminta and Continental.

The railway line that takes from Castellammare to the Campi Flegrei has been restored

circumvesuvianaThe most ancient railway line in Italy: that which connects the stations of Castellammare di Stabiae and Naples Campi Flegrei, is working again.
Thanks to this, tourist will find it easier to reach  the area wet of Naples, where there are at least twenty-four craters and volcanos.

The Orto dei fuggiaschi (garden of the fugitives) in Pompeii reopens to the public

Starting to day the Orto die fuggiaschi in Pompeii is again visitable: a wide area of vineyards, named after the discovery during the 1961 excavation of 13 bodes of people who were running from the fury of the volcano's eruption of 79AD, and who needed up buried by the ashes.

San Carlo Theatre's school of dance bicentenary

With this evening's gala, the San Carlo's theatre school of dance, the oldest in Italy, will celebrate the bicentennial of its establishment.
The show, directed by Anna Razzi and Alessandro Panzavolta, director of the school and corps de ballet, will be performed by students and ex alumni of the theatre.

The national Aibes conference, barmen and sustainers association, held in Sorrento

Barmen and ladies will meet in Sorrento, at the Grand Hotel Vesuvio, from the 4th to 7th November, for 63rd edition of the national Aibes conference, barmen and sustainers association.
During the four day event, there will also be a competition with various levels of participation, from long drinks to pre dinner drinks and after dinner drinks, with true participation of various masters from around Italy.
